Most Safari travellers spend at least one day in Nairobi either at the beginning or the end of their Kenyan stay.

    About Nairobi
Nairobi is the largest city in East and Central Africa. Capital of Kenya, sometimes referred to as the city of the sun or the city of flowers. The mostly broad streets are lined with Hybiscus, Bourganvillea and Jacoranda Trees.

A large modern city with an international airport (Jomo Kenyata International). A bustling diversity of economies, Nairobi features all religious and political denominations, a truly cosmopolitan culture comprising some 2 million people.

There are many places of interest within easy reach of your accommodation. We can arrange all of these activities for you.

    Nairobi National Park
This was Kenya’s first National Park, situated only 5 miles from the city centre. Opened in 1946 its 44 square miles of parkland is home to 80 mammal and 500 bird species. To visit for a day costs very little and can easily be arranged.

    Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage
This world famous orphanage is located on the southern tip of the park. This is an excellent place to spend a few hours – this is a working animal rescue centre and the animals are only available to view at certain times – check with us current opening times.

    Giraffe Centre
The main purpose of this centre was to help the Rothschilds Giraffe. They are now raised to be reintroduced into the wild. The centre has a raised platform for a giraffes eye view where you can watch them, and also feed them.
